This form of Krishna, young Laddu Gopal, is a favorite first deity for beginners and children. Lord Krishna is the most commonly worshiped deity among the Hindus. Lord Krishna is considered to be the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu especially by the Vaishnava sect. Krishna is usually worshipped along with his beloved Radha. Lord Krishna is the embodiment of love and divine joy, that destroys all pain and sin. He is the protector of sacred utterances. Krishna is an instigator of all forms of knowledge and born to establish the religion of love.In Bhagvad Gita, it is said that he guided Arjun to win the battle against the Kauravas. Kṛiṣhṇa means "night, blackness, darkness" in the Rigveda. Krishna also refers to the name of the Supreme Being or Lord of Universe. Krishna was born as the 8th child of Devaki, sister of the cruel demon king Kamsa. As a name of Vishnu, Krishna listed as the 57th name in the Vishnu Sahasranama. Based on his name, Lord Krishna is often depicted in murtis as black or blue-skinned. Krishna is also known by various other names which reflect his many associations and attributes. Among the most common names are Mohan "enchanter of women or cowherdesses", Govinda, "finder of cows", or Gopala , "protector of cows", which refer to Krishna's childhood in Vraja. Some of the distinct names may be regionally important; for instance, Jagannatha (literally "Lord of the Universe"), a popular deity of Puri, Odisha in eastern India .

God Krishna is also depicted and worshipped as a small child (Bala Krishna, Bāla Kṛṣṇa the child Krishna), crawling on his hands and knees or dancing, often with butter or Laddu in his hand being Laddu Gopal
