The Statue of Equality, dedicated to Saint Ramanuja also referred to as the Ramanuja statue, is located in the premises of the Chinna Jeeyar Trust at Muchintal, Hyderabad, India. It is the second tallest sitting statue in the world.It stands tall at 216 feet and symbolizes the values of equality and harmony among all people. The project of building the statue was conceptualised by the trust to commemorate 1000 years since Ramanuja's birth Costing an estimated ₹1,000 crore (US$130 million), the project was paid for through the donations of devotees in a major part. This statue aims to inspire individuals to embrace the ideals of love compassion and respect for one another regardless of their background. Visitors come from various places to admire its beauty and learn about the teachings of Swami Ramanuja. The monument serves as a reminder of the importance of unity and understanding in society.
