Birthstones are a part of modern society and since ancient times it is widely believed that wearing your birthstone is a symbol of happiness, wellness and good fortune. Birthstones are gemstones which represent a persons birth month, each stone is a different color and has a unique meaning to each and every month. Going back to ancient times, certain gems were believed to bring good fortune if worn during specific months.
Traditionally each month is associated with one birthstone but you will find some months have multiple birthstones.
